How to get ‘unlimited’ coffee at Starbucks in the UK.
Most of us enjoy that morning brew, I know I do and I spend a ridiculous amount on my morning Latte everyday, but did you know that there is a way of getting ‘Unlimited’ filter coffee at Starbucks?
So to do this, you do have to play by their rules and you must ‘drink in’ and cannot opt for this if you like a coffee to go. The main rule here is that you need to order a ‘filter coffee’ — You might not see this advertised, as its not one of Starbucks core drinks option, but in my opinion its one of the best.
Filter Coffee or sometimes its referred to as Pike Place is available at most of the stores, prices vary depending on the location, but can range between £1.50 and £2.00 for the smallest option.
Order yourself a Tall to sit in with and save yourself 25p by using your own reusable cup. Don’t forget, it doesn’t have to be a Starbucks branded reusable cup, it can be any brand. I’ve been sad enough to have my own printed with my company name printed on it.
Now enjoy drinking your ‘filter coffee’ whilst taking advantage of the Free WiFi and catching up on your email and instagram posts, once empty return to the counter and ask for a free refill.
This is as easy as it gets, but the trick is do not leave the premises. Don’t go for a sneaky cigarette or take a call outside, as they may deem this as leaving. You must stay in the store until you are coffee’d up.
This maybe one of those offers that will get removed in future, I’m not the only one to have written about the ‘unlimited’ filter coffee at Starbucks. I just know the hack as my wife used to work for a local branch.
It also may differ from location to location, remember not all Starbucks outlets are owned by Starbucks, quite a few are franchises especially those at motorway services.
Starbucks when asked have given this quote:
“As long as you stay in the store, you can get free refills on your filter coffee. Once you leave the store, a new order would be required to continue the free refills.”
